Parque Central (Central park)

Parque Central (or Central Park) is a quiet (in terms of noise, not volume of people) where locals like to gather and chat. A nice area with pathways, benches and trees, the park contains a statue of José Martí, Cuba's national hero.

  • A historic park (more of a square) onto which give the National Theatre, the Inglaterra Hotel (a Hemingway haunt) and marks the western edge of the Old Town. Foreigners are approached by locals desirous of company or providing services.
