Originally this was the headquarters for The Jewel Cos. (adjacent to the large Jewel distribution center, still in use), which later just became headquarters for the Jewel supermarket chain. In 2008 SuperValu, which owned Jewel at the time, moved the offices out of their old home to a location in Itasca, and in February 2018, U-Haul acquired the two buildings and converted it to a self-storage facility.
