Over 100 acres of oak/hickory woods, ponds, wetlands and fields were purchased for $2,839,268 in 1997. A house and barn sit on the eastern section. This area provides excellent habitat for birds, small reptiles and amphibians. Salamanders and small mammals are particularly fond of this site. Although owned by Dundee Township, the site is managed by the Kane County Forest preserve District. The souther section has trails connecting to Binnie Woods.
