Orphaned section of Broadway (Boston, Massachusetts)

This remnant was once contiguous with Broadway in South Boston which, before construction of the Mass Pike and Southeast Expressway in the 1950s, used to connect to Park Square through here. Until the Broadway Bridge was replaced during the Central Artery/Tunnel project in the late 1990s, it was evident from an aerial view that the line of the street continues right to here. Endlessly confusing to seekers of Jacques' Cabaret, located on this stretch.
