Little Norway is a National Historic Place. A sod-roof log cabin, a cluster of log farm buildings and the magnificent Norway Building modeled after a twelfth-century Stavkirke (Norwegian church), complete with dragon heads at the peak of the gables. The "Norway Building" built in Norway for Chicago's Colombian Exposition of 1893, is a fine example of ancient Norse church architecture.
