The port of Cabo Rojo is located southwest of the island in a province called Pedernales. This is a natural harbor which belong to a mining private company, “Ideal Dominicana, S.A.” who use this port for the loading of limestone, aggregate and road base and for the discharge of explosives for the mining company. Facility has a mooring dolphin system which make possible the berthing of vessels up to 213 meters.
