1200 years old Sri Chandranatha swamy and Sri Jwalamalini devi Jain temple worshiped and mentained by Sri Dharanendrakumar family.It is famous for its power of fulfilling wishes of devotees. It is the temple where 'pujas' done for releaving from evil spirits[bhoota/preta dhosha] who cause sudden and unexpected deaths of persons.Sri Suresh Kumar is the main priest there.

    It is learnt that this Jain temple was built by one of the pearls merchant from Gujarat state during the 12th century. When he was coming towards south India by sea. His boat was struct with a massive rock. On checking it was found to be a statue of Jaina thirthankara with moon symbol on its foot.The merchant prayed for his release from this obstruction, and miraculously the boat moved a little further. At this time, he decided to take this idle to the shore and built a small temple there in Yermadu, now called Yermal. He lived there for many years and it is now understood that the same generation is still continuing there and maintaining the Sri Chandranatha Digamber jaina Mandhir. Y. Suresh Kumar s/o Late Mr.Dharanendra kumar s/o Chandaiah Indra s/o Gummanna Indra s/o Padma indra family is conducting daily Jaina Pooja(worship)Vidhi in this temple. Now this temple is to be renovated and the family requests all devotees to contribute their donations.
