This is the site of the now-defunct Beachcomber RV Campground. The property was purchased several years ago by a developer who intended to create an upscale neighborhood between the Tolomato River (Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway) and the Atlantic Ocean. The recent real estate downturn has apparently scuttled these plans for the time being.
