Originally the headquarters and factory of the Florsheim Shoe Company. Designed by Shaw, Metz & Dolio and constructed in 1949, the two story infill addition was designed by Shaw & Associates for construction in 1977. This was the first major Chicago building to take a Eurpoean Modernist approach in its design. The building was converted to condominiums in the late 1990s. Parking and retail fill the old production areas with the lofts taking the former office spaces.
