Dhola is a border village of district Jaipur adjacent to Alwar. It is just seven km away from Pratapgarh (Alwar). This fort was established by the rulers of Jaipur in response of Pratapgarh Fort. Dhola was counterpart of Pratapgarh. On establishment of Alwar state, it was claimed as an integral part of Alwar by Maharaja Pratap Singh. While Jaipur state was not agree to leave its claim on Dhola. Subsequently, a pact was concluded and both the counterparts were agree to maintain status-quo. Resultedly,it was taken as integral part of Jaipur state. The Dhola Fort is not a massive construction but played a key role. It was very important for the security point of view. The old and small fort is an tourism supporting asset to the village of Dhola. It is the prime duty of the locals and govt body to protect and maintain the status of historical monument and assets. This may prove a tourism developement supporting factor for this village.
