Covering the equivalent of 48 city blocks, WEM is North America's largest shopping mall, and among other things houses North America's largest indoor waterpark. Since opening in 1981 the mall has expanded four times and currently has plans for a convention hall/sports complex, a 12-story office building, and a 600-unit apartment building, along with further retail space.
