The Gatliff Memorial Building is a red brick structure with classical columns. Built in 1955, the building is named to honor the memory of one of the institute's founders, Dr. Ancil Gatliff, who in 1888 had a vision of the need of a Christian college where young people could be taught "Vita Abundantior," a more abundant life.

The Gatliff Chapel, renovated in 1992, contains beautiful stained glass windows. In addition to the impressive chapel which seats 450, the building has several classrooms, and houses offices for the President, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Business Affairs, Registrar, Financial Planning, Administrative Computing, Bursar, Comptroller, and Institutional Research.
