Isaac and Mattie Johnson built their new home in Allensworth at this location and in 1912 or 1913 they opened a backery business in the front room of th house.
Mrs. Johnson apparently became sole proprietor of the business in 1914.
From the California Eagle of 3 October 1914:
"Mrs. Johnson conducts a bakery and short order lunch business, owns her own property, and has about 12 acres of good land beautifully located in the rural district which is utilized for the cultivation of alfalfa and grain for the large flock of chicken, ducks and turkeys she successfully handles."
By 1918, Mrs. Johnson had closed her bakery businsss.
Some time after that, she relocated to her farmland, and began renting out the Allensworth house.
