  • This is "Langen Terrace" it was Base Housing for Rhein Main U.S. Air Force Base. You can see the outline of the Baseball field that American children played in. Germans don't play basebll.
  • Lol not true because we didn't even played on the baseball field the tennis court was on the other side of the baseball field
  • Just basketball and football that all we did back in langen
  • l lived in Langen Terrace from 1958 -1962. We were the first ones to live in our apartment as the housing was brand new. It was one of the small 4 units buildings..508 (?) Apt A- 3) . It was in the middle section backing up to the trees on the right side of the entrance road. That definitely was a baseball field. We used to buy treats in the shopette and climb on top the dugouts which was forbidden. I can remember the German guard post just as you turned the corner. At that time, there was nothing built around it/ It was all farmers' fields. On the entrance road from the highway, there was still a bombed out house from the war.
  • Hubby and I lived in Langen Terrace housing in the 1980's. IN fact, we lived on next to the store (co op as it was once called)..and attached to the heat plant..2 small bedrooms, living/dining area together like a studio ..small but nice kitchen..Nice bath..Down stairs our own washer/dryer..and a small backyard..Loved it there..
