Meyerton Short Wave Broadcasting Relaystation, operated by SENTECH in South Africa. Transmitter Power: 25kW, 100kW, 250kW, 500 kW.
Used to transmit international programs for all of Africa by Channel Africa (from Johannesburg), BBC World Service, Radio France International, Voice of America, Deutsche Welle (Germany), Adventist World Radio, IBRA Radio (Sweden), NHK Radio Japan, and others. Also the domestic Afrikaans service Radio Sonder Grense is transmitted on shortwave frequencies from here.

  • No signal on 6192. What is the problem?
  • Recently, there were power outages and transmissions had to be transferred to other transmitter sites. Currently it should be working fine. The signal should be on 6190, not 6192, and only at 5-8 and 16-20 hours UTC. The exact hours vary sometimes.
  • I was listening last night around 30MHz FM on my SDR radio and came across Tuks FM and RSG. Why would radio Tuks be broadcast on Shortwave? Thanks Evan
