GEFCO UK LTD Corby Automotive Division site.

All Vehicles stored here were for the Midland areas of the UK's automotive market.

This site held thousands of vehicles from cars to commercial vehicles(vans, etc,) which were shipped here mainly by transporter lorries.

This site was shut down by Gefco because it was deemed too costly to keep it running; it closed in early-to-middle 2010, although the PDI centre across the road was kept open.

  • Looks like yet another former RAF airfield (cleverly camouflaged by parking cars all over it).
  • Not in fact an airfield - this area is in fact reclaimed land after iron ore extraction. This is a car distribution park. Lots of identical cars waiting to be sold
  • Look carefully: they are not all the same. Most are hatchbacks but some are estates and there are even vans parked here.
