Headquarters and Headquarters Support Squadron (H&HS) MCAS Beaufort is charged with supporting and enhancing the combat readiness of the Marine squadron located at MCAS Beafort and improving the quality of life for military personnel, their families and the work force assigned to MCAS Beaufort.

H&HS Beaufort is made up of approximately 600 Marines in many diverse jobs. From feeding the Marines to pumping fuel for the stations various squadron aircraft the Marines of H&HS Beaufort are answering the call.

Marine Wing Support Squadron 273 (MWSS 273)

This is an aviation ground support unit of the United States Marine Corps. They are based out of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort,South Carolina. The squadron falls under the command of Marine Wing Support Group 27 and the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.

Its role is to provide all essential aviation ground support to a designated fixed-wing component of a Marine Aviation Combat Element (ACE), and all supporting or attached elements of the Marine Air Control Group (MACG). This support includes: internal airfield communications, weather services, expeditionary airfield services, aircraft rescue and firefighting, aircraft and ground refueling, essential engineering services, motor transport, messing, chemical defense, security and law enforcement, airbase commandant functions, and explosive ordinance disposal. Additionally, in garrison MWSS-273 is tasked to supplement air station facilities and services provided by Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, SC.

Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31 (MALS-31)

This is an aviation logistics support unit of the United States Marine Corps. Known as the "Stingers", they fall under the command ofMarine Aircraft Group 31 (MAG-31) and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (2nd MAW) and are currently based at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

Its role is to provide aviation logistics support, guidance, planning and direction to Marine Aircraft Group squadrons on behalf of the commanding officer, as well as logistics support for Navy funded equipment in the supporting Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS), Marine Air Control Group (MACG), and Marine Aircraft Wing/Mobile Calibration Complex (MAW/MCC).
