"... the original VV&E railway station that was built in 1916 by the Great Northern Railway. Over the years, it served as a station for the Canadian National Railway. In 1985, the abandoned building was moved from its site at the corner of Hudson Bay Street and Fifth Avenue to the junction of Highways #1 and #3, now called the Rainbow Junction. The station retains its original look, but now houses a restaurant, a retail outlet and Hope's art centre. This is the last train station of its design in existence."
