Holy Trinity is a large church, second only to the cathedral in Ripon. It is cruciate in design, with a tower and spire at the west end. There are two substantial transepts, and a sanctuary with 3 tall panels of beautiful stained glass in the east window. It is a Grade II listed building.

It has in the grave yard some of the Mayors Of Ripon City
One being John Richard Walbran 1817-1869 a Author of many books over the Yorkshire Cathedrals including Ripon Cathedral,Fountains Abbey and the father of Francis Maximillan Walbran (MAX) to his friends thats laid to rest at West Tanfield Church and the author of many Fly Fishing Books.
