The Cooke Plant was constructed in 1978 and was originally designed to treat high grade ores from the adjacent Cooke Underground mines. It has a nameplate capacity on an underground run of mine ores of 280ktpm. The Cooke Plant is currently treating surface material from Dump 20. It will be reconfigured prior to the commissioning of the uranium processing facility in order to process the underground ore currently treated at Harmony’s Doornkop plant.
