One of the most dangerous stretches of highway in Milwaukee County, Plainfield Curve has been acknowledged as a safety problem by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation on multiple occasions. It is being reconstructed in 2010 to allow for speeds up to 55 miles per hour, and is expected to be complete in December 2010.
