This is located near Jite village which is approximately 115km(jite phata)+11km from Pune.
To reach fort, you will first need to climb up to Kurdu Peth. Fort is just 20min away from Kurdu Peth. You cannot reach top of the fort without equipments(requires rock climbing). There is a statue of Hanuman and also a couple of 'buruj' in good condition. (There seem to be some land slide which has destroyed previous routes, even initial 'darvaja' is not in good condition)Apart from these there isn't much to see there.
It gives very good view of Sahyadri range. |
