Former apartments site which was designed by architect Frank S. Meline in the Beaux Arts style and built in 1919, the apartment building was intended to accommodate prominent members of the movie industry. Among its residents were Louis B. Mayer, Mae Murray, and Laurel and Hardy. The building was demolished in 1984. The former site was built in the 1990s as the Hollywood Galaxy 6 Theatre, which was owned by General Cinema, In 2002 AMC Theatres, took over General Cinema Hollywood Galaxy Theatre, In 2003 the theatre was converted into a gymnasium.
