Built in 1910, the Arcade was originally the first of several Pantages Theatres in Los Angeles.

Morgan & Walls designed this vaudeville theatre for Alexander Pantages to resemble an English music hall. The firm later added Stiles Clements to the partnership and went on to design many other theatres including the Mayan, the 1926 Belasco, and the El Capitan and Wiltern office buildings.

The Arcade closed in 1992. The lobby is currently used for retail space, while its auditorium with largely intact decor is used as storage space.
