Former Horncastle War Memorial Hospital (Horncastle)

United Kingdom / England / Horncastle
 memorial, monument, interesting place

The Horncastle War Memorial Hospital is now closed as a Hospital but is still used for the annual remembrance Sunday in November to mark the end of WWI. Outside the Front door to the left are small crosses for all the Wars that Britain has been involved in since WWI, WWII, Northern Ireland, Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan and many more.
The building was built in 1866 and during WWI they used it for Oparations and then the people was transferd to the Drill Hall (later the Town Hall)to recover till they was well enough to go home or back to the front.
