Mallikarjuneshwara Temple is situated at a distance of 5Kms north of Talakadu on the Mudukothore hillock. The west facing entrance tower is built by Krishna Rajendra Wodeyar III. The sanctum sanctorum has a five inch linga with the feet mark of Kamadhenu, the sacred cow. The temple is known for it fair held every year during the Magha Masa.
