this lovely village is founded by beloved Hoijavah Haokip who is famous for her grit and determination in parenting her only son awtkhomang haokip and two daughters Tongkhotin Haokip & Domkhochin Haokip( Both Orphanage- who were left behind to fend themselves after the death of their parents in World War II between the Britist Army & the Japanese Army) .Hoijavah became a legendary and an icon among small ethnic groups called sub clan 'Songthat' of Haokip and source of inspiration and emulation raising The Family despite the ill treatment meted by her in laws to stay back. Her Husband Khaijang Haokip died during World War II by bomb explosion in a place called Khopum. The tragic part is that her son Awtkhomang Haokip was born one day after the horrific
sudden demise of her husband.
