The "Barbara" Oak fell during a wind storm sometime around 08/06/04. It might not show as anything but a hollow trunk in the next image of Burke lake field. It's crown was a magnificent support for the sky, and it's shade was always a sweet relief on hot summer days. However, lightning had often claimed a bit of it's heart and strength, and it has gone the way of all mortal beings.
