The Frank L. Forbes Arena is a 6,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It is home to the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers Basketball team. It also served as the home of the Atlanta Glory of the American Basketball League from 1996 to 1998. The arena also hosted the basketball preliminaries of the 1996 Summer Olympics. It opened on April 3, 1996 at a cost of $8,000,000. The Maroon Tigers played their first basketball game on September 18, 1996 against Savannah State University. It sits adjacent to Archer Hall, the college's old gymnasium. For this feature, Morehouse College hosts high school basketball tournaments, playoffs, and all-star games that utilise both buildings. The arena was named after Franklin L. Forbes, an athletic director at Morehouse College and the school's first basketball coach.
