It isn't often that a public housing complex is built in the middle of a city centre these days (the adjacent Anderston Centre was probably the last, in the early 1970s) - but it mirrors the trend in Glasgow to try and undo the damage done during the Bruce Report era when the centre of the city was depopulated to make way for offices.
