Ivan Alekseevich Mazurin (1853-~1890), an 1874 graduate of the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, completed this light colored private residence next door at Prechistenka Embankment 33 in 1886.

Although the Russian says that this is the Embassy of Madagascar, that building has the address Kursovoy Pereulok 5, which is the back of this building.
