Hollókő is a Palóc ethnographic village in Hungary, part of the World Heritage. Its name means "Raven-stone" in Hungarian.
Hollókő is known as the most beautiful village in Hungary. The castle ruins on a hill provide a picturesque background for the houses with protruding roofs, wooden railings and posts typical of thies region. The cellars under the houses have their entrances on the street side, the houses thus look like two-storey buildings.
Traditional folk costumes are still being worn here. the short skirt and pearls with flower motives are characteristic features of the women's holiday clothes.
