Daimler AG Thermal Power Plant (Sindelfingen)

Germany / Baden-Wurttemberg / Sindelfingen
 power station, thermal power station

Combining the heat and power generation in the gas turbine and using the waste heat from the plant to provide warmth in the factory means that over 80% of the fuel is utilized. In conventional power plants, this figure is approximately 40%. With the same heat intake in the factory, the amount of power generated will be more than double. The new gas turbine has an electrical production rating of around 31 megawatts and a thermal production rating of 42 megawatts.
