  • This is not the real Bhimasankara Jyotirlinga. As per the Shiv Puranas Bhimasankar Jyotirlinga is situated near Guwahati,Kamrup,Assam.
  • river bhima originates from here. so in that sense it is 'bhima-shankara' .
  • the real pinda of the temple was hidden by the marathas, so that its not vandalised by muslim barbarians during their evil rule. later it was restored. real pinda was supposed to be hidden under a waterfall around 1 km from the temple with a place named as gupt bhimashankar.
  • The temple is situated in one of the most oldest and deepest forest in the world. The jungle then was famous for 'DAKIN'which is women which is infamous for black magic. Many ayurvedic (medicinal)plants are found in this jungle only. Lord Shiva is god of all kind of magic and vidya. So many shiv bhakta who practicing this kind of magic (Also Known as AGHORI VIDYA) live in this jungle for their SADHANA. I have no idea whether original temple is located in Assam or it is bhimashankara,But this temple is beautiful and place is sacred one. Also manage to visit NAGFANI (great view of deep vally) which is around 3 KM from temple.
  • This holy place I went there. Really it is nice place with lovely waterfall where in the middle of waterfall lies the Lord Lainingthou Nonpok Ningthou Apanba Panthou Epa (Lord Shiv Linga) lies.It will take 40 minutues from Guwahati City. It is nearby Gorchuk Chariali. There is no inhabitant of people nearby the hill but in the plain area there is. Now in there some of the committees have some started making road upto the temple. There is no Aghoria people staying there.A very lovely and silent place for the meditation.I will tell all people of Lord Shiv Bhakta to go this nice place to worship.
  • God pls save us. Om namah Siway
