The townlet was first mentioned 1197, present number of population about 1000. In the court of local ceramics workroom stands a "wonderful mill", where has been grained three old grannies and changeovered to one young pretty girl.
There is also a museum of old crafts works and shops and provincial popular equipment. Interesting painting Chod´s ceramics has been manufactured and marketed here.
