Bagabag is an island in the Madang Province of Papua New Guinea and is a dormant volcano, rising to 600m above sealevel.
The island is 43 km east-northeast from Cape Croilles on the northern coast of the Papua New Guinea mainland. It is approximately circular in shape, with a diameter of about 7 km. It has an area of 37 km² and a population of about 3,000. The closest island is Karkar, 18km northwest. On the southeastern side, New Year Bay cuts deep into the island.
