A tiny hamlet consisting of two farms and associated cottages. Woodruff lies at the foot of Woodruff Lane, and represents the original settlement of 'Bleatham'. At the beginning of the 19th century Woodruff was home to Oliver Hall, landscape artist, who painted several views of the South Downs from the fields around.
