Winner of the Evening Standard pub of the year 2005 this amazing pub has a beautifully carved and inscribed bar, stained glass windows and shelves groaning with books and bits and bobs.

What really makes the Morgan special is the team of long serving, occasionally suffering, but always smiling staff, driven and inspired by Jimmy and Uwe! Like Jimmy the ideas down there are nearly always off the wall so if you have time do come down and try the snail dating!

They won the award in 2005 because of the passion of the team for the food and because they really do look after everyone – this is still their driving passion.

Get here early. Sorry no bookings, just first come first served….and the first are often there banging the dining room door down. But don’t be alarmed we will always get you a table and you can enjoy a drink in the bar whilst you wait.
