Emaus School - Father Luis Foundation

Argentina / Buenos Aires /
 church, school

The school was founded in the mid 1950s; it was started by catholic priests from the order of the Sacred Hearts. At its inception the school only provided schooling for grammar school years. It also had dormitory facilities for pupils whose parents placed them as part of a boarding school.
As the enrolled students grew, so did the school. In the early 1960s the 1st year of Academic (Baccalaureate) High School was started and every year thereafter a higher grade was added culminating with the 5th year of said curriculum. Subsequent years saw other school divisions open such as a Technical/Vocation High School.
The school occupies a few Hectares, located approximately 25 miles west of the Capital City of Argentina, Buenos Aires. The grounds have several fields used for soccer, rugby, field hockey, etc. An open air summing pool located in the premises is used by those who attend summer vacation camps.
