From Sept. 24 to Oct. 16, 1927, the B&O Railroad Fair of the Iron Horse honored the 100th anniversary of the B&O Railroad, and it drew more than 1.3 million visitors, with an average daily attendance of over 50,000. The Fair was held in the what is today's industrial park at Halethorpe Farms Road and Hollins Ferry Road.
