CSX Carlton Interlocking Tower (Carleton, Michigan)

Formerly manned, this tower controlled the crossings of three railroads, the Pere Marquette heading north and south here, The Detroit Toledo and Ironton running northeast to southwest, and the Pennsylvania Railroad splitting off to the northeast. Pere Maquette became what is now CSX, the DT&I is now CN and the Pennsylvania is now part of Norfolk Southern. The former Pennsylvania line is now part of CSX. This place is an ideal spot for railfan photography.
