Former Luftwaffe and CSLA air-to-ground gunnery and bombing training range Bělečko - Hradec Králové

Czech Republic / Kralovehradecky / Belec nad Orlici /
military, closed / former military, shooting range

The bombing and shooting range was established by Luftwaffe during the WWII and was called Bělečko-Klein Bieltsch. The local name of the place is "Klusánky". It was used for aerial bombing and gunnery practice. It was presereved and reused by the Czechoslovakia Air Force after the war mostly for the Hradec Kralove (LKHK) and Pardubice (LKPD) based ground-attack units. Part of the woods to the north-west of the place was burned after a hit by an S-5 unguided rocked in 1990 resulting in closing of the range shortly after.

Now it is part of the leasure and sport area of Městské lesy (City Forrest) Hradec Králové and is very popular for walking, cykling and in-line skateing.
