Namakdan Salt Cave - Iran , At 6850m it's the world's longest salt cave

The Namakdan salt cave is located in the west of Qeshm along the southern coast. At 6850m it's the world's longest salt cave, even if only the first 100-200m are easily accessible for visitors. The cave and its walls consist of salt which has been eroded over time by water. At the time of visiting, there was no entrance fee.

Salt caves are also solutional caves, forming and collapsing relatively quickly. The world's longest salt cave (nearly four miles) was discovered just last year on Qeshm Island off the coast of Iran.
