The first of its kind, a linear urban nature reserve, following the course of the River Smestow, the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal and the Wolverhampton Railway Walk. Linking indirectly with the South Staffordshire Railway Walk and Local Nature Reserve and directly with the canal's own conservation area, it affords access to large areas of countryside for walkers, riders and cyclists.
