With Nano ushering in prospect of jobs for 10,000 personnel, at least 1,000 directly employed by Tatas, educational fraternity plans to branch out till Sanand. Ecole Mondiale International School, coming up in Telav village just 15 km from Nano plant, that will start operating from July 2009, is looking forward to admit wards of top personnel working at the plant.

“Earlier, we were counting on attracting children from the city seeking international standard of education. Now, we are happy we will be able to offer good education to children of plant employees,” said Ravi Goenka, leading Mumbai-based businessman. Goenka, with interests in chemicals, vineyards and other sectors, is foraying into education with this school.

The school is spread over six acres and will accommodate nearly 700 children from nursery to class XII. It will be affiliated to International Baccalaureate (IB).
