Though ostentatious, I truly consider this a Charlotte landmark. Make time to drive by this if you are visiting the city. Among other things (Cinderella Castle is another nickname for it) it boasts one of the largest organs in the South East United States. I've only seen a few churches in the US that rival some of the ones in Europe and this is one of them.
