A private propriety on the 60’s and early 70’s, the Cocanha Island hosts today one of the biggest mussel farms in Brazil.
Tourists can visit the island which has trails that take you to an abandoned mansion on the top of the hill.
The island is full of natural life, specially birds and different species of iguana. The sea life around Cocanha is very rich and you can easily see dolphins, stingrays and sea turtles.
