This was originally a Safeway (built 1972 according to county records), and later an AppleTree when Safeway spun off the division. In late 1993, the store was sold to Randall's (apostrophe at the time), which reopened it in January 1994. The Randalls would institute a massive expansion within a few years, bringing it to its current size (which still isn't very large by modern standards, unfortunately). Today, it's probably been renovated since (due to Safeway's fast "lifestyle" remodels), but it remains one of the larger former AppleTree stores.
