156 acre location of former nine hole golf course built in 1937 by United Carbine employees on the site of camp for Depression era workers who constructed Hawks Nest Tunnel. Leased to the State and operated as Hawks Nest Golf Course it closed in 2014. In 2020, then owner Brookfield Renewable Energy donated the property to the Fayette County Firefighters for use as a training center for its 19 local fire departments.
