Monument creates a Sherman tank thrown on the side of the tower and placed on the body of the cross, made of elements caterpillars. On both sides of the base of the cross there are boards made of brass, supported by two brass also scorpions.
The monument was built at the mouth of the Gorge towards Mass Albanetta, where 12 May 1944 Sherman tank under the command of ltn. Ludomir Białecki broke out of multiple antitank mine. The force of the explosion caused the detonation of ammunition in the tank, separation and rejection turrets. The current system is the same statue that remained after the battle. The tank was only of brick and surrounded by a wall.
The author of the monument is lt.. Ludwik Kuźniarz. The ceremonial unveiling took place May 18, 1946 year.
